6Can I continue using FreeScout during installation?
Yes, you can. There is no downtime during installation. Once the module is activated and configured in the Settings page, it will be ready for use.
7Which AI model and providers does it work with?
The module was designed to work with any available OpenAI model or plan, including ChatGPT. It also supports various AI providers via OpenAI-compatible gateways and proxies, including OpenRouter, LiteLLM, Together AI, LocalAI, Groq, and Ollama. This allows you to disable the native OpenAI API and direct all AI requests via a compatible gateway.
8Does AI communicate with customers?
No, the module will not send communications to anyone. A person must send the reply to a customer. FreeScout GPT Pro is not an AI agent; it's an AI support assistant that only engages with your support team.
9Does it send ticket content externally to the AI provider?
Yes, the module uses a direct API call. To increase secuerity and protect the privacy of customers, it does not send personal data such as email, it only sends the message content and first name.
